In 2002, Ashley Stokes took the first step in her hospitality and business career working as part of the front desk team at the Atlantic Beach Hotel & Suites in Newport, R.I. In 2004 she relocated to Washington, D.C. to pursue a degree in Urban Sociology at The George Washington University and soon found herself joining the Kimpton Hotels + Restaurants family as a front office agent. Within just a year she was promoted to Front Office Manager of the 300 room Palomar D.C. property and leading a department of 15 team members. By 2011 Ashley had extensive experience in team leadership, front office & housekeeping management, audit supervision as well as supervising one of the longest employed union teams in D.C. at the Hotel Liaison on Capitol Hill.
In 2012 Ashley began her sales career as the International Sales Coordinator for the newly opened InterContinental New York Times Square hotel and directly assisted with the proposal and booking process for all International Incentive and MICE group business. From there she has worked in some of New York City’s top-rated properties in the roles of Executive Meetings Manager, Senior Group Sales Manager and in 2019 was promoted to Associate Director of Sales & Marketing of Kimpton’s Hotel Eventi which spans an entire city block in New York’s coveted Chelsea neighborhood.
Through her diverse experience in multiple sales markets, Ashley has developed a passion for exceptional service, has consistently surpassed all financial goals set for her and created a goal-oriented management style of her own to bring out the best in each of her team members. Her extensive sales experience has led to successful customer engagement in the corporate, sports, entertainment & pharmaceutical industries leading to top financial production in each role she has held. It is with this hospitality pedigree and drive for excellence that she continues to cultivate her skills to bring as a leader and contributing team member in her next role.
